Absolute is celebrating after clinching deals to develop a couple of driving related projects.

We have been tasked with the development of www.passyourtestonline.co.uk, a new website that aims to help 17 – 24 year old learner drivers pass their driving test safely and responsibly with a website packed full of official web based tools such as the DSA Theory Tests, Hazard Perception Tests and an interactive road signs quiz as well as over 200+ animated interactive training tutorials.

Managing Director Chris Hodgen says “We have been briefed to come up with a website that is not only ground breaking, but also goes further than just getting a learner driver through the tough DSA driving test. Most CD-ROM products in the shops try to get you to pass your test quickly but this is not what we wanted to achieve. We wanted to make young drivers better and more responsible drivers as well. That is why we have created and developed a new Pass your Test online TV channel as part of the website. The TV channel will include a 30 minute TV programme every month, covering serious topics such as drink driving, drug driving and mobile phone use etc as well a product reviews and driving related news. It will also become a dedicated archive for video related content that schools and colleges will get access to free of charge to help educate students via interactive white boards”

www.passyourtestonline.co.uk, which launches this week, is also following in the popular social networking arena by also developing a unique networking section to help you select and work with potentially one of the UK’s 40,000 driving instructors. Each learner driver will be able to choose the right driving instructor for them with a unique filter that only shows them the instructors that meet their own personal criteria.

From a website aimed at teaching you to drive slowly, Absolute have also won a pitch to develop and produce a new video to help “want to be” race drivers reach their goal of following in the footsteps of Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. The contract has been awarded by the Motor Sport Association (MSA) which is the UK arm of the FIA, the world motor sports governing body.

The 30 minute video will be filmed at Silverstone Race Circuit during the summer before being released in January 2010 as part of a revamp of race driver training in the UK.

Chris Hodgen say’s “This is a great win for Absolute and one that we have worked hard to get over the last 12 months. It will be a challenge, but it is made easier by my knowledge and passion of motor sport. It is the first time we have worked with the MSA and so far they have been impressed with our work, so much so we have been briefed with a second job of developing a website that will form a base for a new web based training structure.
