Christmas is coming, as is the cold weather. It’s time for huddling under a blanket with a nice cup of tea and watching films, but for some, unfortunately that isn’t possible.

When we saw a heartfelt social media post from Chris Sharpe of VoiSis about a young homeless man named Luke, who had knocked on his office door late one evening, we realised we had to help in some way.

Here’s a link to the Original post, which has been shared over 13,000 times.

After making the decision to help, we got to work setting up an office collection fund, which we then took to the shops to buy some essentials for packing into festive shoeboxes and delivering to the VoiSis offices (which was kindly offered as a drop off point).

We wanted to raise awareness of what a great idea this is, and to encourage others to follow suit. The VoiSis team will be collecting for the next couple of weeks, and so there is still time to help. If you want to donate any items such as, Christmas Shoeboxes (example below), clothes, camping equipment or dried foods, you can still use the VoiSis drop off point until Mid-December (VoiSis, 111 Market St, Farnworth,Bolton,BL4 8EX)
Chris & his team will then be handing out the supplies to the homeless around Bolton over the next few weeks. The support he has had so far has been fantastic, and just proves what a great community we have.

We took a couple of shots of the boxes we packed to give people a bit of a guide as to what to put in (this is just a guide, pretty much anything goes!)

We are hoping that we can raise a bit of awareness for a great cause, and a great guy!
