Newstar Garments have paired up with leading integrated creative & digital agency Absolute to launch a stellar website that reflects the global brand’s passion for denim.

Originating in Preston - the historic heart of the United Kingdom's cotton industry - where their modern, refurbished head office is located, Newstar have been designing and manufacturing denim for high street stores for over 30 years.

A global operation, with an office in London's Soho and facilities in Turkey, Egypt, Bangladesh and Pakistan, they have a presence all around the world, chasing trends, meeting manufacturers and finding inspiration to keep their jeans ahead of the pack.

They have also invested heavily into research and development processes over the years, which have been the crux of their continued growth.

With no existing web presence, Newstar approached Absolute to help position the business in the digital sphere which would appeal to a young buyers’ market, serve as a recruitment tool to aid the talent search for their ever growing workforce and to focus on B2B sales operations.

Absolute began the project from scratch, working with their copywriters, art directors, creatives and in house photography team, resulted in a slick, modern and future facing website, with an emphasis on smooth transitions and animations which engage the user.

Chris Hodgen, Managing Director of Absolute, said:

When Newstar approached Absolute to design and build their first ever web presence, we knew that we needed to create something that epitomised the dynamic ethos of the company, with their modern offices, talented workforce and, most importantly, a strong passion for denim. Not having had any sort of web presence before was quite refreshing, as we were given a blank canvas to work from and Sarah had the foresight to allow us to be as creative as possible with both the site and the photography. There are a lot of plans to help Newstar develop the brand over the coming months especially with the launch of their new fully sustainable factory called Taiga in Pakistan.

Sarah Ainscough from Newstar added:

The new site really hit the brief and we are delighted with the work Absolute have done. We needed to speak to a range of audiences, whilst retaining the values and ethos of Newstar. The photography really brings out our office culture and our shared passion for denim.
