We’re delighted to announce that we’re hosting our first Absolute Seminar in our recently expanded studio space on Thursday 24th November 2016 – and we’d love to see you there.

Ideal for marketing professionals and managing directors, the seminar will look at marketing, branding and intellectual property (IP) – and more specifically, how marketers can avoid legal pitfalls.

We’ve teamed up with Elizabeth Ward – a leading IP lawyer, founder of Virtuoso Legal and author of If You’re So Clever, Why Aren’t You Rich? – for the breakfast event, which will cover a number of key areas, including:

  • Brands and trademarks: What are trademarks, when do you need them, how do you get them and how do you enforce them?
  • Packaging and design: Think you’re free to use any colours, fonts and graphics you like in your packaging and design work? Think again!
  • Parody: Is it ever OK to ‘borrow’ ideas and take inspiration from other brands – even if it’s an intentional parody? Or what do you do if you find your own brand is suddenly – and unwantedly – the centre of another company’s marketing campaign?

Guests are invited to arrive at our studio from 7.45am for networking and refreshments, with the seminar discussion starting at 8.30am and lasting for an hour.
