Sika is a specialty chemicals company with a leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection in the building sector and the motor vehicle industry.
In December 2014, they officially opened the doors to a new multi million pound Research & Development centre at their Head office in Preston. Whilst the R&D centre was in build Sika commissioned Absolute to develop a campaign which promoted the launch of the new building.
A Sense of Scale
Absolute devised a concept which showcased not only the scale of the build, but also the wide range of Sika products used within the construction. This was achieved by creating a CGI animation, taking the viewer on a journey from the architectural plans in the boardroom, through to the detailed construction of the building from the foundations up.

An Individual Process
The next stage of the project was to create the right assets to give the brand a cohesive look. We started by exploring We outlined a script which detailed each individual process, and each Sika product which was used within the construction project. We then decided on a treatment style which would be used on the final animation.
Our copywriter pulled out key facts and figures, ensuring that an emphasis was placed on Sustainability as this was a very important factor for Sika in the construction project.
The animation has gone down really well and has been really well received by the sales teamCheryl Douglas, Head of Marketing
