Taziker Industrial Ltd are a multi-discipline specialist contractor, providing structural refurbishments and strengthening throughout the UK. The company and its divisions, employ over 500 people across the United Kingdom; serving a variety of demanding markets in the Road, Rail, Utilities and Defence industries.
When the team at Taziker approached Absolute to create a new website, the brief was that it needed to portray a more corporate feel than the previous site, whilst also getting across that they are an approachable, professional and family run business.
Strengthening a brand
To kick start the project, we began by defining Taziker’s positioning. This was something which was lacking from a business perspective. The employees and senior management had a great understanding of who they were, and why they did what they did. They just weren’t portraying that well enough to their existing and prospective customers. Our copywriters worked with them to define who they were, create a positioning statement, and also the streamline ‘Stronger Structures, Stronger Relationships’
Constructing a simplistic User Journey
Once happy with the brand, we began to work up wireframes and user journeys for the site, building upon the bold positioning which they had opted for. We presented a web concept which was future facing and brave, it incorporated a hamburger menu, and a side navigation built using entirely icons. Taziker wanted their site to focus heavily on case studies, as they believe that their work speaks for itself, so we opted for light copy, large imagery, and a primary focus on previous work.
Reinforcing the Image
We didn’t want Taziker to become a ‘faceless’ corporation, so we invited the Directors up to the photography studio here at Absolute to get some informal headshot. After which, we then created a section on the site which focused on the management team, their career highlights, and also their hobbies outside of the office. This was used to reinforce the positive, professional and approachable image they wanted to portray.
Building a bespoke content management system
The site is built in a bespoke content management system, developed by Absolute. Taziker had requested that the site was easily manageable, and easy to update. So we opted to use our in house bespoke system. This ensures a clean, simplistic admin area, and also allows for much more scope in functionality as we continue to work with Taziker on future web projects.
To complement the new site, the team at Taziker asked us to take a look at their stationery and bring it in line with the new site. We did exactly that, opting for a bold streamline and colour palette, whilst keeping it simple and uncluttered. For the business cards we chose a thick, uncoated stock to represent not only the streamline, but in the strengthening industry, you need a strong business card!
